Writing the first song to a new project is always tricky. I love doing the research and it's easy to get lost in all the possibilities but at some point you have to decide on which version of the story you're going to tell. The last few days I've been hearing bits of music with rise and fall in action and trying to track what the characters are feeling from moment to moment so I can be the vessel to let them speak for themselves. However it really is trial and error and I try to leave room to let myself fail by remembering to embrace these two things: #shittyfirstdraft #writingisrewriting
